There's a small sandy swimming area that slopes gradually for the young or young at heart to swim, kayak, pedal boat, and canoe. The little ones will love the clubhouse, sand pile, and play gym.
There is a lot of deck and dock space for fishing, lounging, sunning, or just good conversations. Nearby, Park Rangers give many different free educational programs on wildlife and history.
Birding is very popular as the park is sanctuary to over 240 species. Bald eagles are common and can be watched nesting in their natural habitat.
